The Rev. Stanley C. and Barbara A. Mink Sr. of Girard celebrated their 60th anniversary on Aug. 17, 2023.
Rev. Mink and the former Barbara Kammerdiener eloped to Winchester, Virginia Court House, and were married Aug. 17, 1963. Upon returning home, a cake and punch celebration took place to celebrate the newlyweds.
Stan retired from the tool and die department at the General Motors fabricating plant in 1998. After becoming an ordained minister from Moody Bible College, Stan had the honor of preaching at Bazetta Baptist Church for 17 years, retiring in 2015.
While raising their children, Barbara worked for Dr. Block in Girard for 25 years, and retired from Eye Care Associates in Youngstown.
The couple have two children, Stanley C. (Kelly) Mink Jr. and Lisa (Len) Wilson. They also have four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
