Andrew and Karen Jarosz of Boardman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a 4 p.m. June 17, 2023, Mass at St. Christine Church and dinner afterward at Cafe 422 in Boardman, hosted by the couple’s children.

Their bridal party, fraternity OKT brothers and family and friends were in attendance at the celebration.

The couple met at Youngstown State University and were married June 23, 1973, at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown.

Karen retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital Belmont in 2017, where she was a medical technologist (MT. ASCP) for 43 years in the laboratory.

Andy worked as an industrial engineer for many years before becoming owner of Westside Sparkle Market.

They are long-time members of St. Christine Church.

Andrew and Karen have two sons, Andrew H. (Amber) Jarosz and Jason (Karen) Jarosz. They also have one granddaughter.
