Mr. Auguste "Augie" and Mrs. Roslyn "Roz" Johnson of Youngstown celebrated their 70th anniversary June 6, 1953, with their children.
Auguste and the former Roslyn Siroki were married June 6, 1953, at St. George Church in Youngstown.
The couple have three children, Dennis (Kim-deceased) Johnson, Ken (Terri) Johnson and Roxanne (Berlin) Johnson-Kirkpatrick. They also have four grandchildren, one of them deceased and seven great-grandchildren.
Roz worked in then Mill Creek MetroParks office and for Servomation Corp., along with being a homemaker.
Retiring in 1984, Augie was a Youngstown firefighter serving Station 15. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
The couple enjoys jigsaw puzzles, casinos, homemaking and yard work.
