Fred and Bonnie Morrison of Fowler celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 3, 2023.

Fred and the former Bonnie Terlecki were married Feb. 3, 1973, at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Youngstown.

The couple met in 1971 at a mutual friend’s house. Fred had recently returned home from Germany after serving two years in the U.S. Army.

Fred retired from Packard Electric in 1999 after working for 31 years. He was a union representative for Local 717. After retiring, Fred has enjoyed building houses and being an all-around handyman.

Bonnie retired from Packard Electric in 1981 in order to stay home and raise their children. She is a homemaker and loves cooking, baking and gardening.

The couple raised three children, Holly (John) DiRenzo of Poland, Tim (Patricia) Morrison of Salem and Melissa (Marshall) Berkeley of Canfield. They also have seven grandchildren.

They enjoy a monthly Bible study group with close friends and spending time with their children and grandchildren.

A family celebration with the honored couple was held Feb. 5, 2023, at The Chophouse.
