Sasha Detwiler of Berlin Center and Vincent Thomas of Boardman were united in marriage during an intimate lakeside wedding ceremony held Oct. 8, 2022, at the residence of the bride's parents. The Rev. Shirley MacFarland officiated the exchange of vows.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Lori Detwiler of Berlin Center. Parents of the groom are Terry Thomas of Boardman and the late Lisa Thomas.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Blue Canyon.
The bride's sister, Sunny Osman, served as the matron of honor. Serving as ring bearer and flower girl were Emmitt and Ava Osman, the nephew and niece of the bride.
Performing the duties of best man for his brother was Julian Thomas.
The new Mrs. Thomas graduated summa cum laude from Youngstown State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education. She is a Title 1 teacher for the Boardman Local School District.
Mr. Thomas is continuing his degree work at Kent State University, where he is majoring in business. He is a transportation supervisor with Community Bus Services Inc.
Following a honeymoon trip to Switzerland and Italy, the couple resides in Boardman.
