Daniel and Karen Black of Warren celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Feb. 24, 2023, with family.

Daniel W. Black and the former Karen Lee Judge were married Feb. 24, 1963, in the Presbyterian Church in Wellsville. The gathering including good friends Rosemary Pasquale, and Lex and Rebecca Cooper, the preacher and his wife.

The couple met in 1962 when Dan visited his brother at Litten Motors in East Liverpool while Karen was employed there.

The couple have two daughters, Debbie Chandler and Diana Nestor, who said they are pleased to announce their parents' anniversary. They couple also has two granddaughters and one great-grandson.

Besides being a master electrician and all-around handyman, Dan is a very talented woodworker, making beautiful creations for each of his grandchildren and great-grandson.

Karen is a homemaker and wonderful cook as well as a gifted card-maker and painter.

Dan and Karen reside in Warren but have lived in Wellsville and Calcutta, as well as Houston.
