Zarr 60th anniversary

Will and Ann Zarr of Austintown celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently with family and friends at the home the their daughter Renee Ervin.

Will and the former Ann Madura were married Sept. 8, 1962, at St. John Polish Catholic Church in Campbell.

Will moved next door to Ann in the summer of 1957. They became best friends and the rest is history.

After Will had served four years in the Navy, they moved to Austintown, where they still reside.

Will retired from Delphi Packard Electric in July 2003, then worked for Sweeney Chevrolet for two years then Simco Management for nine years. He was also a Boardman Local Schools bus driver for two years.

Ann spent many years as a housewife and was very active in the Austintown PTA. She was employed at DeYor labs in Boardman in several positions, including phlebotomist, customer service rep and eventually director of the lab.

They have three daughters, Renee (Jeff) Ervin of Canfield, Michele (Tom) Warmouth of Austintown, and Dawn Jones, who resides with her boyfriend, Jerry Bruff. They have five grandsons and three granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.

Ann and Will have lived in Austintown since 1965 and have been very active in the PTA, Austintown Girls Softball League and many other Austintown activities. They have been members of St. Joseph Catholic Church since 1966, when it was founded. They have enjoyed traveling internationally and throughout the United States.
