Krichbaum 50th anniversary

Judge and Mrs. R. Scott Krichbaum celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on a cruise to Italy and several dinner celebrations with family and friends.

Scott, from Youngstown, and the former Sharon Gettemy, from Poland, met at Cardinal Mooney High School. They were married Sept. 9, 1972, at St. Jude Church in Columbiana by the Rev. Robert Flynn.

Scott began his legal career as a bailiff for Judge Clyde W. Osborne and then enjoyed a successful law practice that was highlighted by being named in the Best Lawyers in America in 1989. He was elected judge of the Court of Common Pleas in Mahoning County in 1990 and continues to serve in his 32nd year on the common pleas bench.

Sharon recently retired from her career in the dental field.

The couple have two sons, Zack (Tasia) and Brian (Emily), and one granddaughter, June Alexandra.

As lifelong residents of Mahoning County, the judge and his wife live in Boardman and enjoy golfing, gardening, traveling and spending time with family, friends and their boxer dog, Elvis.
