Delayed by the coronavirus pandemic, the wedding celebration of Sam and Alexa Becherer took place Aug. 21, 2021, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Pittsburgh. They were united in marriage Aug. 22, 2020, at the church.

The former Alexa Xenakis is the daughter of Theodore Xenakis and Colleen Xenakis, both of Pittsburgh. Parents of the groom are Mr and Mrs. William Becherer Jr. of Poland.

Milt Constantine was the best man for the groom, while Nikki Xenakis performed the duties of maid of honor for the bride.

The new Mrs. Becherer graduated from Keystone Oaks High School and Point Park University with a degree in accounting. She is an internal auditor at a specialty materials manufacturing company in Pittsburgh.

Mr. Becherer is a graduate of Poland Seminary High School and Westminster College with a degree in accounting. He is a certified public accountant at regional accounting firm in Pittsburgh.

After a honeymoon in the Florida Keys, the couple reside in Mount Lebanon, Pa.
