Ted and Sheila Cougras of Poland are announcing the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Theodora Taylor Cougras, to Jonathan Phillip Bodin, son of Carol Bodin of Surfside, S.C.

The Cougras’ hosted a traditional Greek “Aravona” ceremony and engagement dinner party at their home on Oct. 17, 2020, to honor the couple. Father Tom Constantine presided over the blessing of the rings.

The bride-elect is a 2017 graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in communications. She is a client coordinator for Maxim Healthcare Services.

Mr. Bodin is a 2015 graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in international politics and a Bachelor of Arts in Jewish studies. He also holds a Master of Arts degree in security and diplomacy from Tel Aviv University in Israel.

He is a sergeant in the U.S. Army National Guard and Reserve and works for the U.S. Postal Service.

The couple will be united in marriage during a wedding ceremony to be held Nov. 27, 2021, at St. John Greek Orthodox Church in Boardman. Invitations will be issued for a formal reception to be held at The Avalon Grand Pavilion in Warren.
