Kimble 75th

Norman and Rosetta Kimble of East Palestine celebrated 75 years of marriage on Feb. 18, 2021.

The couple was married Feb. 18, 1946, in New Waterford while Norman was on furlough from the U.S. Army Air Force. Following the wedding, Norman was assigned to serve in the Philippines and was deployed overseas for a year.

After his return, the married couple operated the Amoco gas station in Petersburg until moving to East Palestine in 1953.

Rosetta spent many years as an employee of Herriott Trucking Co., and Norman retired in 1992 from Cummins Diesel in Hubbard. He is a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 66.

Both are active members of St. John Lutheran Church.

The couple have two daughters, Cindy (Gary) Clark and Juley (Bob) Lewis of East Palestine, four grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19 precautions, their anniversary party will be postponed until spring or early summer. Invitations will be issued.
