Art and Carol Crann of Struthers celebrated their 50th anniversary on Aug. 15, 2020. A family celebration and a cruise to the New England states and Canada have been postponed due to the current pandemic.

Art and the former Carol Thomas were married Aug. 15, 1970. They have a daughter, Pam (John) Horvath of Poland. They also have one granddaughter and one grandson.

Art retired in 1996 after 37 years as a school teacher with Youngstown City Schools. Carol retired in 1982 after 17 years as an office manager for optometrists Drs. Sam and Jack Safier. She then became a sales director with Mary Kay Cosmetics.

Throughout their marriage, they have enjoyed numerous cruises, traveling to exotic parts of the world. They also enjoy ballroom dancing, which resulted in developing many lasting friendships.

Art enjoys reading in his spare time, and going to the YMCA in Boardman several days per week.

In her spare time, Carol enjoys reading and monthly luncheons with friends.
