Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Pyne of Liberty renewed their wedding vows while playing a tape of their wedding to celebrate their 50th year of marriage on Dec. 20, 2019. They have done this on their anniversary the past 50 years.

“Gene” Pyne and the former Mary Markovich were married Dec. 20, 1969, at St. Columba Cathedral.

Mr. Pyne was employed by Westinghouse Electric until 1985, when he retired after 41 years of services. He is a member of First United Methodist Church of Sharon, Pa. A 32nd degree Mason with two 50-year pins, Gene loves to carve wood, fly radio-controlled planes and paint pictures.

Mary taught in the Cleveland and Youngstown Diocese for 37 years. She is a parishioner of St. Columba Cathedral.

The couple love dancing, camping, travel and photography.
