Gerard and Louise Bettross, born and raised in Youngstown, celebrated their 55th anniversary Jan. 9, 2020, with their family and friends at their Ellsworth home.

Mr. Bettross and the former Louise Hull were united in marriage Jan. 9, 1965, at St. Joseph’s Church in downtown Youngstown.

The couple have two sons, Michael (Carla) and Jeffrey (Kerry) Bettross, both of Poland. They also have three grandchildren.

Gerard retired from Iron Workers Local 207 and is a member of the Mahoning County Coon Hunters Protected Association.

Louise is a homemaker and was a member of the Elsworth Garden Club.

They are members of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Canfield.
