Rhineharts of Canfield mark 60th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Rhinehart of Canfield were honored by family members and friends as they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at a dinner party Dec. 7 at the Holiday Inn Boardman.

Hosts for the dinner event were their children and spouses, Greg (Debbie) Rhinehart of Delaware, Ohio, Kenneth (Tina) Rhinehart of Westerville, and Katherine Krohn of Powell. Also participating were their eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Rhinehart and the former Barbara Mikesell were united in marriage Dec. 5, 1959, at the United Church of Christ in Youngstown. They are current members of Canfield United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Rhinehart was employed at Sears department store in Youngstown as a secretary to the furniture buyer. Later, she was employed as a baker and cashier with the Canfield Local School District from 1976 to 1989.

Mr. Rhinehart served with the U.S. Army Medical Corps in France from 1957 to 1959. Afterwards, he was manager for salary and payroll benefits at Youngstown Sheet & Tube and later served as supervisor for hourly payroll at Jones & Laughlin Steel Co. in Pittsburgh. Upon retiring from the steel industry in 1980, he began a career with the federal government as a principal examiner with the National Credit Union Administration under the umbrella of the IRS.

He is an active member of the Saxon Club.
