BIBLE WALK: Hubbard First Presbyterian Church will have an indoor trunk or treat and Bible Walk at 2 p.m. Oct. 17. The Bible Walk includes displays of Adam and Eve, the plagues of Egypt and musical instruments. The event is weather permitting and there will be old fashioned games set up outside. SISTERS OF CHRIST: Sisters in Christ Widows Support Group meets 10 a.m. monthly on Thursdays at Corner House Christian Church, 6954 Chestnut Ridge Road, Hubbard. The group is for any widow who has lost a spouse.

LABYRINTH WALK: The Ursuline Sisters Mission, 4280 Shields Road, Canfield, will conclude its 16th year of guided labyrinth walks. The final guided walk is at 2 p.m. Oct. 18. This year's theme honors the 350th Jubilee of the Sacred Heart. While the labyrinth is open year round from dawn to dusk for all persons of faith, the guided labyrinth walks are offered by traditional facilitators.

FIRST FRIDAY: The First Friday Club of Greater Youngstown 2026-27 Speaker Series season continues with a luncheon and program at noon Nov. 5 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. The speaker will be Sister Lisa Marie Belz, OSU, who will present "How Is the Bible True?”

Belz, an Ursuline Sister of Cleveland, is a scripture professor at John Carroll University.

Belz gives talks and conferences, retreats and parish missions, locally, nationally and internationally, on topics related to scripture, Christian spirituality and early Christianity. A former missionary who served on the Cleveland Latin American Mission Team in El Salvador, Belz brings her experience of the global Church to her work as an educator, retreat director, speaker and writer.

SPEAKER SERIES: Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center offers a Coffee and Contemplation series focused on a variety of spiritual and holistic topics. The program provides participants with input from a presenter and includes time for reflection and discussion. Ardath Blake, HM, will present this month's session in person and via Zoom: "Are we called to study or pray the Scriptures?" 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 20. Scripture is the Living Word of God, so how vital is it to study its background and different literary styles? How do we let these words become a part of our daily prayer time with God? This program will be available via Zoom 10 a.m. to noon on the day of the event only. Cost is $10 (lunch is optional at an additional $8). 152ND ANNIVERSARY: Third Baptist Church of Youngstown will celebrate its 152nd anniversary and honor the life, legacy and faithful service of Rev. Dr. Morris W. Lee and First Lady Beverly C.
