CHURCH CONCERT The Sojourner Quartet will present a free concert at 6 p.m. Saturday at Grace Methodist Church, 1725 Drexel NW, Warren. The Sojourner Quartet is in its 34th year of sharing the God's message through music and ministry. Refreshments will be served after the concert.
FALL RETREAT: Christian author and speaker Jennifer Cadamore is returning to Hubbard Church of the Nazarene for the Heart to Heart ladies’ ministry fall retreat 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 12.
She will bring a powerful message "God’s Protection-Finding Security in the Shelter of God’s Wings." This event is open to women and girls of all ages for only $20 due by Aug. 30 (no cost for those 10 to 17) and includes lunch and prizes. Checks may be made out to Hubbard Church of the Nazarene and mailed to 1815 Cherry Lane Drive SE, Hubbard, OH 44425. Include your phone number or email address and your church name (if any). OBLATE SISTERS EVENT: The Oblate Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Auxiliary in Hubbard will have the annual Bella Sera Dinner Dance 6 to 11 p.m. Sept. 26 at Leo’s Banquet Hall, 7042 E. Market St., Warren.

FIRST FRIDAY WELCOMES JUDGE: The First Friday Club of Greater Youngstown kicks off its 2026-27 speaker season with a luncheon and noon program Sept. 10 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. The speaker will be Mahoning County Common Pleas Court Judge John M. "Jack" Durkin who will present "A View from the Bench: A Look Back at the Last 30 Years."
Durkin is retiring at the end of the year after 30 years on the common pleas court bench.
There will be an opportunity for participants' questions following the talk. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. with the presentation beginning at noon.

MASS AT FAIRGROUNDS: There will be a Catholic Mass at the Canfield Fair at 8 a.m. Sept. 6 with Youngstown Bishop David Bonnar as celebrant.
