CHRISTIAN WOODSTOCK: Newton Falls Methodist Church, 336 Ridge Road, will host Christian Woodstock noon to 6 p.m. Saturday. Barefoot Prophets, Red Letter Band and other musical groups will perform throughout the day. The event is a day of fellowship and worship, food, games and music.
SUNDAY CONCERT: East Side Church of Christ, 1750 Niles Road, Warren, will have a concert at 4 p.m. Sunday. The event will include the church choir, Mike Foley's Choir, Garrick Matlock, David L. Howard III and Zion Hill Baptist Church Youth Choir.
The church will have a children's celebration on Saturday.
GATEWAY TO PRESENCE: The Unity Spiritual Centre, 1226 Naylor Lloyd Road, Liberty, will have a Gateway to Presence workshop 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 22 The event will be facilitated by Gabrielle Smith, founder of the Solas Healing Arts. The event is designed to help participants slow down, reconnect with themselves and rediscover the joy of creating without judgment. The workshop is open to adults of all skill levels seeking a meaningful opportunity to reduce stress, cultivate creativity, and connect more deeply with themselves and others. LABYRINTH WALK: The Ursuline Sisters Mission, 4290 Shields Road, Canfield, are hosting their 16th year of guided labyrinth walks. The next walk is at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 20. This year's theme honors the 350th Jubilee of the Sacred Heart. Each month's theme will focus on a unique expression of love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, including compassion, mercy and forgiveness. Walks are free and take place weather permitting.
ARISE YOUNG ADULTS: Registration is now open for the fourth annual ARISE Young Adult Summer Festival 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 12 at St. John Neumann Parish-St. Joseph Campus, 2643 Waterloo Road, Mogadore. ARISE is the largest, fastest-growing diocesan event of the year for young adults throughout the Diocese of Youngstown. It is a day-long gathering designed to deepen faith, cultivate authentic community and celebrate the Eucharist with young adults ages 18-39 from across the Diocese.The day includes speakers, small group discussion, reflection, worship, live music, a catered dinner, meaningful fellowship through outdoor games and activities, Eucharistic adoration and Mass with Bishop David J.
