New pastor to lead Youngstown church

YOUNGSTOWN — Pastor Robert P. Neeley has been installed as the new senior pastor at Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church.

A pastoral installation ceremony took place in June with the theme “To serve with a heart for God and a hand extended to all.”

Neeley said he looks forward to serving the church congregation and the local community.

Among the visiting clergy and ministers who attended and took part in the installation were Bishop Kenneth Paramore, Pastor Michael Harrison, Bishop Robert Moore Jr., Pastor Kenneth Simon and Elder Martha Conyer-Allen.

Since 2024, Neeley has been serving in virtual and online ministry and expanded his reach through digital platforms providing worship service experiences, Bible studies, prayer gatherings and open discussions.

Neeley is the founder of the men’s ministry “What is the Measure of a Man” aimed at strengthening and guiding men in their spiritual walk.

From 2021 to 2023, Neeley served as an ordained elder at New Vision New Day Ministries in Youngstown. During this time, he preached and taught regularly, launched the weekly outreach “It is Finished Fridays” and cofounded “Sunday Supper,” a community meal initiative.

Earlier in his ministry, Neeley served as a licensed minister at Christ Centered Church from 2014 to 2021. His work included nursing home ministry, street evangelism in underserved communities, teaching youth and adult Sunday school, and stepping into leadership and as interim pastor when needed.

Neeley has an associate of arts in liberal arts from Niagara County Community College and an associate of arts in theology from Bradley Bible College.

He is pursuing a bachelor’s in theology with an anticipated graduation in 2027.

His wife, Kay Neeley, with over a decade of ministry experience, has faithfully served in various leadership roles including licensed minister and ordained elder.

She is the founder of the women’s ministry “Vow to be Virtuous” where she equips women to walk in holiness, confidence and divine purpose.

The Neeleys have nine children and 37 grandchildren.

Kay Neeley has led feeding programs, and clothing initiatives such as Warm Hands, Warm Hearts, hospital visitation and support for individuals facing life challenges.

She has a master of science degree in social work and is a certified life and spiritual coach.

Her professional experience in counseling, substance use recovery and direct care supervision uniquely positions her to minister holistically, addressing both spiritual and practical needs.
