BBB releases guide for seniors

For more than a century, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) has stood for one essential value: trust.

That commitment continues with the release of Aging With Trust, a new guide designed specifically for older adults and their families, featuring valuable BBB resources and advertising from trusted local businesses and organizations.

Today’s marketplace offers convenience and opportunity, but it also presents risks, particularly scams and misleading offers that often target older consumers, according to a news release from the agency.

Aging With Trust was created to empower older adults with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed decisions, protect their finances, and connect with businesses they can rely on, the release states.

“Aging should bring peace of mind, not worry,” said Melissa Ames, president and CEO of BBB.

“Whether someone is planning a home improvement project, seeking health care services or shopping online, BBB is here to guide them with tools and resources that put trust and safety first.”

The Aging With Trust guide is available at bbb.org/youngstown. Consumers who would like their own copy may contact BBB at 330-744-3111 or email info@youngstown.bbb.org.

Starting at $3.23/week.
