SUPPORT GROUP TO MEET: The Youngstown Area Scleroderma Support Group will meet 5:30 p.m. Feb. 3 at Davidson’s Restaurant, 3636 Canfield Road.

Meetings are held the first Monday of the month, open to the public and focus on issues of people affected by scleroderma.

ADDICTION HELP MEETINGS: SMART Recovery’s four-point program is the organization’s flagship secular program serving those with addictive behavior, including both substance and activity / process addictions.

Trained volunteer facilitators lead effective mutual support group discussions noon to 1 p.m. every Tuesday and 7 to 8:30 p.m. every Thursday on topics such as building and maintaining motivation; coping with urges and cravings; managing thoughts, feelings and behaviors; and living a balanced life.

MCMHRB MEETINGS: Mahoning County Mental Health and Recovery Board will hold an executive meeting 5 p.m. today and a board meeting at 5 p.m. Jan. 27, both at the CSB Building, 222 W. Federal St., Youngstown.

HEALTH CLINIC: The Midlothian Free Health Clinic Inc., located inside First Presbyterian Church, 201 Wick Ave., Youngstown, is open the second and fourth Thursday evenings of each month.

The clinic is available to those ages 18-64 who are uninsured and have an annual income less than 200% of U.S. Health and Human Services poverty guidelines.

Services available include primary care medicine, diabetic clinic, women’s health, dental clinic, specialty doctors, eye care services, prostate clinic, asthma clinic, physical therapy, nursing services, dietary education, exercise training and education, social work, HIV testing, prescription assistance and laboratory services.

SUPPORT GROUP TO MEET: The Brain Injury Family Education and Survivors Support Group will meet 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 16 at Howland United Methodist Church, 730 Howland Wilson Road, Warren. The Support Group is free and available to all survivors and family members and / or caregivers. The support group offers socialization and fundamental information and education about brain injury and common challenges survivors and families are confronted with.

OA MEETS: Overeaters Anonymous meets 10 a.m. every Monday in the parlor of First Presbyterian Church, 256 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren. OA has no dues, fees, diet clubs or weigh-ins. Anyone who desires to stop eating compulsively is welcome.
