FLU SHOTS: Mahoning County Public Health is hosting flu shot clinics throughout the county.
Everyone 6 months of age and older should get a flu vaccine every season. No appointment is necessary.
Patients are asked to bring insurance cards, a driver’s license, and Medicaid and Medicare cards so the cost of the vaccine can be billed. Most private insurances are accepted.
Mahoning County Public Health is a Vaccines for Children Program Provider and will have limited opportunities for children that are uninsured or underinsured to receive the vaccine free.

DIVORCECARE SUPPORT: St. Joseph Church in Austintown is offering a free DivorceCare Support Group 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursdays, beginning Oct. 3.
DivorceCare is a 13-week course / discussion group for those who are going through or have gone through a separation or divorce. You don’t need to be a member of the church to attend.
The three components of DivorceCare are inspiring and educational video presentations, supportive and safe group discussions facilitated by trained facilitators who have experienced divorce, and resources for home use.
DivorceCare will be offered for 13 consecutive Thursdays.

Active Living Every Day is a behavior-change program, focused on helping sedentary adults fit physical activity into their lives in realistic ways.
The program is based on research that has resulted in two discoveries about physical activity and health: Physical activity need not be strenuous or time consuming to benefit health and people are more likely to become and stay physically active when taught appropriate lifestyle skills.
The class will meet once a week for 12 weeks.
