CAREGIVER PROGRAM: The Alzheimer's Association Greater East Ohio Area Chapter has a new program called The Jan and Josephine Castora Family Caregiver Relief Program, which pays for agency caregivers to assist families needing help caring for someone with Alzheimer's or another dementia.

MRTA TO MEET: Mahoning Retired Teachers Association will meet Nov. 8 at Drake's Landing, Western Reserve Road, Canfield. Doors open at 11 a.m., with lunch being served at 11:45.

Donations will be accepted for Canfield Veterans Auxiliary.

The group is a national service program for individuals 55 and older who want to volunteer in Mahoning and Trumbull counties. Volunteers also will assist with community events.

PROGRAM FOR SENIORS: ACTION and MYCAP, along with Christ Centered Church, host seniors offering services for men and women 65 and older. Three days per week, seniors participate in virtual programs of exercise, classes, games, community awareness, healthy cooking and chit-chat and humor. Lunch will be delivered once per week.

The program provides monthly food box deliveries, phone pals and transportation to medical appointments.

AUSTINTOWN SENIORS: Austintown residents 65 and older are invited to the Fall Senior Citizens Dinner 4 p.m. Wednesday. Austintown schools board members, student groups and school staff will serve dinner during this biannual event in the Fitch High School cafeteria.

Students from the high school's musical groups will entertain guests.
