AUSTINTOWN SENIORS: Austintown residents ages 65 and older are invited to the Fall Senior Citizens Dinner at 4 p.m. Oct. 18. Austintown schools board members, student groups and school staff will serve dinner during this biannual event in the Fitch High School cafeteria. CELEBRATING THE DECADES: Rock The Ages — Celebrating the Decades, a family-friendly, free event for all ages, will take place noon Wednesday at the Southern Park Mall in Boardman to celebrate aging well in the Mahoning Valley.

All activities will be located near Steel Valley Brew Works and Double Bogey’s. Events include a community fair, basket raffle, live music, bocce tournament and longest drive contest. All proceeds will benefit the Paisley House and Senior Support Action Group.

PERI TO MEET: The Public Employee Retirees of Mahoning County Chapter 18, will have a noon luncheon meeting Oct. 3 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 Western Reserve Road, Canfield.

Guest speaker will be James Cain, benefits manager with Association Member Benefits Advisors, the PERI-endorsed benefits provider that addresses gaps in present-day Medicare. No plans that AMBA / PERI offers will impact members’ health reimbursement account.
