HEARING FOR CHILDREN: Mercy Health-Youngstown is hosting an otology lecture series. Board-certified pediatric otolaryngologist Dr. Anita Jeyakumar and a team of Mercy Health hearing professionals will discuss hearing technologies for children.

The lecture will be noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Finnegan Auditorium at Mercy Health-St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. A virtual attendance option is available.

Jeyakumar specializes in hearing loss, ear disease and cochlear implants for all ages. This event is open to the public and is approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit for physicians, ANCC Contact Hours for nurses and ASWB ACE credit for social workers.

SUPPORT GROUP TO MEET: The Youngstown Area Scleroderma Support Group will meet virtually 7:30 p.m. May 1. This takes the place of the usual first Monday of the month June meeting.

The meeting is open to the public and focuses on issues of people affected in all ways by scleroderma. This includes patients, family, friends, or anyone interested in advancing the areas of "Support-Education-Research."

Women of Worth is a drop-in, no-commitment, come-as-you-are, monthly support meeting for women with a shared abortion experience who desire to begin or continue in their recovery journey. This is a safe, confidential, nonjudgmental and nonpolitical place to restore and recover from a past abortion experience.
