STEELWORKERS RETIREES TO MEET: SOAR 27-2 and 27-6, Local Union 1330 and 1331, will meet 1 p.m. Tuesday at Smith Corner United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Niles Canfield Road, Austintown.

Refreshments will be served. New members are welcome.

GATHERING PLACE EVENT: The Gathering Place, a free community outreach social program offered to all senior citizens, will present speaker Sassy Pickard, owner / director of the F5RS animal rescue and sanctuary organization, 11 a.m. April 10 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 550 North Broad St., Canfield.

Bunnies in Baskets are trained visiting therapy bunnies. The group visits nursing homes, assisted living, adult special needs workshops, children with autism and the Ronald McDonald House.

A box lunch will be provided.

This social program is offered to all senior citizens on the second Monday of the month every month. No reservations are required.

The program provides monthly food box deliveries, phone pals and transportation to medical appointments.
