Tom and Marlene Dailey of Austintown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends.

Tom and the former Marlene Maurer were married July 29, 1972, at St. Christine Church in Youngstown.

Tom is a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and Marlene graduated from South High School. Both are graduates of Youngstown State University.

Marlene worked at YSU as an administrative assistant for 38 years until her retirement in 2006.

Tom was an elementary school teacher having retired from the Canfield School District in 2012.

The couple have no children, but lots of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who reside all over the United States.

Marlene belongs to the YSU Women Retirees Group and YSU Retirees Association (YSURA). She is also a former member of YO-MAH-O chapter of the former International Association of Administrative Professionals group, and a card club that has met monthly for 40-plus years.

Tom and Marlene are former members of the Ohio Cultural Alliance. They have traveled throughout the U.S. and enjoyed cruising the Caribbean in their younger years.
