There is no formal program scheduled other than to connect and discuss the changing landscape of volunteer opportunities in Mahoning and Trumbull counties. Attendees are welcome to come and go at their leisure 9:30 to 11 a.m.

While AmeriCorps Seniors is for individuals 55 and better who want to volunteer and give back to their community, all ages are welcome for coffee and doughnuts. AmeriCorps Seniors is partnering with the Senior Support Action Group for this event.

TRANSPORTATION FOR VETERANS TO D-DAY: The D-Day re-enactment will be held Aug. 20, in Conneaut. Transportation for veterans will be provided by Mahoning County Veterans Service Commission. Ombudsman help ensure that residents of long-term care facilities receive quality care and treatment. Volunteers will make phone calls and virtual visits to residents.

The training to become a certified volunteer will be provided virtually. Call 330-505-2338 for more information.

PERI TO MEET: After a one-year hiatus due to the coronavirus, Mahoning County Chapter 18 Public Employee Retirees Inc. (PERI) will reconvene noon Tuesday at the AVION Banquet Center, 2177 Western Reserve Road, Canfield. Lunch is $15. There also will be a door prize and raffle.
