Fruit Tree Pruning Clinic

When: Noon to 2 p.m. Saturday

What: Join us in the orchard to learn about tools, pruning new trees, and on bigger trees in the orchard. Clinic held rain or shine. Dress warm for outdoor activities. Bring lawn chair for seating. Masks, social distancing and following local health guidelines required.

Where: White House Fruit Farm, Canfield

Cost: $25, which includes a set of hand pruners. Zoom option for $20.

Victory Garden

Seed Giveaway

When: Wednesday

What: The Ohio Department of Agriculture and The Ohio State University Extension are partnering to promote Victory Gardens again this year. Part of this project is seed distribution for the community. Seeds are limited and will given out only during these times on a first-come, first-served basis.

Where: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or when seeds run out at the OSU Extension in Canfield, and Flying High Inc. GROW Urban Farm, 97 Bissell Ave., Youngstown; and 5 to 6 p.m. or until seeds run out, Boys and Girls Club of Youngstown, 2105 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown.
