Ballpark hosts Rally for Recovery

NILES — The Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention (ASAP) seventh Annual Rally for Recovery runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Eastwood Field, 5555 Youngstown-Warren Road.

A 1-mile recovery walk starts at 1 p.m. Walker registration opens at 10 a.m. Awards will be presented to the largest family, agency and recovery house walk teams. The event will feature Rock & Recovery music from The Summit (90.7 / 91.3 FM), educational materials about recovery from drug and alcohol abuse, cornhole and other games, a scavenger hunt, a selfie booth, a Chinese auction, an Addiction Memorial and free lunch. Kids can play in the Fun Zone and meet Scrappy.

Bill Aubuchon at Weller Gallery

YOUNGSTOWN — A meet-the-artist session is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday in conjunction with Bill Aubuchon’s photography exhibition “Through the Lens.”

Aubuchon’s collection includes people, places and wildlife photography taken in various locations around the world. In most cases, the digital images receive little or no post processing. He tries to present actual images as they appeared at the moment of exposure.

The work is on display through Oct. 13 at the Weller Gallery at Mill Creek MetroParks’ Fellows Riverside Gardens, 123 McKinley Way, Youngstown. For more information, call 330-740-7116.
