Staff report LIBERTY — A warrant was issued through Girard Municipal Court for Shane Link, 31, of Youngstown, on a charge of obstructing official business Wednesday morning. According to a police report, officers were notified by an anonymous caller Monday that Link, with whom officers are familiar, was staying in a Motel 6 hotel room, with officers also noting that he had felony warrants and a history of resisting arrest. Mezuzah blesses entrance at JCC’s Schwartz Center

YOUNGSTOWN — During a quiet ceremony Tuesday afternoon, a mezuzah was placed at the entrance of the newly renovated Schwartz Judaic and Holocaust Resource Center inside the Jewish Community Center (JCC). A mezuzah is a handwritten scroll on parchment paper, called a Klaf, that contains verses of text from Jewish scripture in Hebrew, placed inside a decorated case.
