Austintown police levy passing

AUSTINTOWN — The township's additional police levy is nearing approval with most of the votes counted Tuesday night. There are 3,937 "yes" votes (51.7%) and 3,685 "no" votes (48.3%) with 92% of precincts reporting. A similar levy was defeated by about 700 votes in May's primary election.
