Hubbard student leads community effort to support Sleep in Heavenly Peace

HUBBARD — On Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025, students from Hubbard High School’s Community and Career class came together for a special service project. Led by student Landon Lovey, the event supported Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building and delivering fully stocked bunk beds to children in need, ensuring that no child in their community sleeps on the floor. Austintown Fitch High School senior John Check has earned a perfect score of 36 on the ACT, a distinction achieved by less than 1% of test takers nationwide. John maintains a 3.8 GPA and has consistently challenged himself with a schedule of Honors, Advanced Placement and College Credit Plus courses throughout his high school career. 2025 Ohio School Psychologist of the Year named

CANFIELD — The Ohio School Psychology Association has named Kimberly Altobelli as the 2025 recipient of the Alex Thomas Ohio School Psychologist of the Year Award. Altobelli serves as a School Psychology Consultant for the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce’s Northeast Region through the Educational Service Center of Eastern Ohio.
