Grisdale earns spot on All-Ohio 1st team

WARREN — Poland junior Jackie Grisdale earned first-team honors on the OHSAA Division II All-Ohio team, which was announced Wednesday, along with the Division I team.

The teams were selected by members of the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association and the announcements were made by a statewide media panel.

Grisdale was the only area player named to the first team and averaged 18.5 points per game during the season. Warren G. Harding’s Faith Burch was named to the third team in Division I with an average of 15.2 points.

Peyton Alazaus of West Branch, Emma Elia of Struthers and Youngstown East’s Brianna Thompson were all special mentions for Division II.
