Scrappers fall in road tilt against Williamsport
The Mahoning Valley Scrappers find themselves in the ‘L’ column again after a 13-6 defeat to the Williamsport Crosscutters.
Bobby Sparling, Reed Chumley and Brian Kalmer each recorded two hits on the evening. One of Sparling’s hits was a homer in the fifth inning.
The trio combined for six of the team’s 10 hits.
Derrick Cherry took the loss for the Scrappers, surrendering five hits in 2.1 innings.
The Scrappers look to recover tonight against the Crosscutters in the second game of a three-game tilt. The Scrappers return home on Monday for a series against State College.
