DEAR EDITOR:

Republicans in the House of Representatives were afraid to stay in Washington where they might be forced to confront the fact that their favorite authoritarian dictator is a sexual predator; so they chose to adjourn early and take an extended vacation.

You might expect Rep. Mike Rulli, who pretends to be a pillar of the community, to use some of that extra free time to meet with constituents and talk with them about their concerns. But you would be wrong.

As usual, Rulli refuses to hold town-hall meetings and refuses to answer direct questions from constituents. If I recall correctly, Rulli also has a talent for avoiding live debates at election time. Evidently, the only time Rulli ever communicates with constituents is when he can have aides write his responses for him. He never puts himself in a situation where he has to think and speak for himself.

One begins to suspect that Rulli is not very bright and is doing everything he can to conceal it. Indeed, I’ve met Mr. Rulli and witnessed first-hand his inability to hold up his end of a conversation. Instead, he resorts to yelling random, baseless accusations and shouting down any interlocutor who challenges him.

It will be to The Vindicator’s everlasting shame that it endorsed such an incompetent, racist, profit-mongering, pedophile-protecting, trigger-happy halfwit.
