Racism tears at very fabric of United States

DEAR EDITOR:

Since the end of the Civil War, racism, racists, prejudice and extremists have torn our America apart. All of this anger and hatred must stop. America should be a sanctuary, a place where people go to be safe and protected.

When a baby is born, it doesn’t know the difference in the color of skin. All people who live in the United States are “colored” — Native Americans, red; Caucasians, white; African Americans, black; Latinos, brown; and Asian Americans, yellow; all Americans. Most importantly, who are the teachers of racism, prejudice and extremism? Could it be parents, peers and employers, or who else? Are you a teacher guilty of dividing and destroying our America with all this hate and anger?

That’s how Hitler rose to power in Nazi Germany. World War II took care of Hitler, and history took care of all the empires and dictators before and after him.

Are we next? If so, to save our country and democracy, the only vaccine for racism, prejudice and extremism is living under and adhering to the unifying definitions of the Constitution of the United States of America, our guaranteed bill of rights for all American citizens. For equal opportunity and the rule of law, “That’s all.”

I’m ridin’ with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in 2022 and 2024 for a safe, progressive future for a “United States of America.”
