Democracy will once again prevail in US

DEAR EDITOR:

The position of a president is an American invention, it’s been said.

The monarchical form of government during the American Revolutionary War was rejected by the Americans.

The first priority of a president is to serve the need of the country, to uphold the Constitution of the United States, the supreme law that guarantees certain basic rights for its citizens. Not to cause division, but to unite with a deep sense of duty.

But no! Now, we have Donald Trump, a wannabe whose self-interest is to become a “king” or “God-like,” to rule the world and punish those who stand in his way.

The election is over; democracy shall prevail once again.

Trump’s photo does not merit to be placed on the presidential poster as the “45th president.”

It will be a disgrace to humanity.
