Companies must bring jobs back to America

DEAR EDITOR:

In the beginning, corporate America began its greedy campaign to move our jobs out of the unionized North to the nonunion, right-to-work-for-less Southern states. When that didn’t work, corporate America threatened workers they would move our jobs to socialist Mexico, communist China and many other foreign countries to capitalize on cheap labor.

In the meantime, hiding billions of dollars of profit in Swiss banks and the Cayman Islands to avoid American taxation, corporate America coined the phrase, “Love America or leave.”

They left, with our jobs, which I think is treachery.

How can you buy American when nothing is made here anymore, except My Pillow and WeatherTech floor mats and mattresses. Donald Trump’s big tax breaks to corporate America to get our jobs back home didn’t work, and his failed trade deals with China cost us billions.

They claim we live in the wealthiest country in the world. It’s not a crime to be rich as long as wealth does not create widespread poverty and homelessness in our supposed progress-to-all capitalistic society.

My question is, are corporate America’s automation and robotics going to be the American economic downfall? We now have multiautomated turnpikes, bridges with one-way double tolls, pay-in-free-out, states that are broke want to toll our interstate system, self checkouts, ATMs, online bill pay, buying whatever, etc., autonomous driverless trucks and cars What’s next? Planes, trains and ships? This is probably the tip of the iceberg.

Where are all these people losing their jobs going to find gainful employment? Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and all Democrat and Republican American working families must demand that corporate America bring our jobs back from all foreign countries for our children, grandchildren and for the future of America.
