DEAR EDITOR:

Under a full moon on Sunday morning, Feb. 9, a shooting on Youngstown’s North Side leaves three dead and two in the hospital. These shootings at the OK Corral have got to stop.

This is not Dodge City. The city leaders and council people must get out of the house and walk the streets of the wards they represent knocking on doors and ask for support for a “Get involved” movement. You can make a difference, but you must get organized. Already, there have been too many lives lost to violence.

Let’s make 2020 the beginning of the end for the senseless violence.

Blame the full moon, but we can’t hide in the darkness forever. The people must make a stand. By doing nothing, we have only ourselves to blame.
