The east / west bottleneck on 224 between Fairground and Hillside Boulevards, I believe, largely results from bad driving and road narrowing and widening. Westbound, lane malingerers and speeders barge into the right lane causing panic stops. Those who don’t know the road narrows are ill-served by a small yellow sign. Westbound, pulling up behind the first car in line in the left lane at Talsman leaves you waiting for the next green because the nimrod ahead of you failed to signal to turn left. Courtesy on merging rather than rushing into line; proper turn signals and better caution signs would help.

Every day we have to go through this horrifying example of government. It is sad that all the Republicans would condone lying, cheating, breaking the law just to save their seat, yet not do right by the country. It is not important your political affiliation. Hold your candidate to account without selling your soul to the company store. This is the USA, not Russia.

The House impeachment vote is over and Democrats have charged President Trump with two phoney counts. Meanwhile, he was in Michigan, and people were lining up outside in the 17 degree weather to see him. My concern is this will set precedence for all future presidents. Anytime a president says or does something the House doesn’t like, he will be subject to impeachment.Very sad moment for our country.

The holidays shall stay calm. Many friends and relatives want to debate politics and impeachment. Last year, everyone at dinner had phones in hand, searching the web or texting. Let’s go back to earlier times and check the phones in and visit like yesteryear. We can be forced to look at each other. Make an effort to enjoy all the faces at the table, celebrate the holidays with all the special people enjoying a great meal together. Give this a try.

I am a registered Republican who has followed the impeachment process. I believe our President Trump is guilty of more than the two proposed articles. The facts, along with opinion of scholars and thousands of past judges, have come to the same conclusion. This has nothing to do with Republicans / Democrats. Our Constitution is at risk.

Corrupt foreign governments ousting a president is called a coup. Make no mistake, the House is corrupt. Before our president was elected, Democrats had impeachment in their sights. Pelosi, Nadler and Schiff worked to ensure this would be done. They cherry picked evidence and made up the rest. Shame on them, and call it a coup, not impeachment.

Justice Department Inspector General Horowitz reported the FBI’s Trump investigation was within standard operating procedure. The FISA application had 17 inaccuracies and omissions. Question for Comey and cronies: “Were you biased or incompetent?” IRS targeted and denied tax exempt status to conservative groups. The Benghazi tragedy was blamed on an obscure video by the State Department which, with the FBI, bungled the Clinton email scandal. “Bureaucratic incompetence” is redundant.

A news reporter asked Speaker Nancy Pelosi if she hates President Donald Trump. Her reply indicated that she doesn’t hate anyone because she is Catholic. Was I supposed to believe her because she is a Catholic? I am Catholic, and I think the speaker is a hypocrite. Congressman Tim Ryan is also a “cafeteria” Catholic. He selects only what gets him votes in his district. How can these people profess their faith and vote for abortion? They call it pro-choice. Most Catholics call it abortion!

In July 2016 Trump asked, “Russia if you’re listening …” They were listening and according to 17 intelligence agencies, they interfered in our election to help Trump. Since he wasn’t stopped, he learned doing it again would be OK, so he told Ukraine to investigate Biden or it would not get money to fight Russia approved by him and Congress. No punishment. So he says, “China, you should investigate Biden, too.” If he’s not stopped, there will be more interference in our elections in 2020.

Hunter Biden rode his daddy’s coat tails to high-paying positions for which he had no acumen or experience. It is legal by D.C. standards. It is unethical. People with low moral standards lead our country. Hunter Biden has a child out of wedlock. If Hunter Biden was Hunter Trump, he would be harassed by national media. And his father Donald Trump would be relentlessly assailed. Hunter Trump’s action would be added to the list of impeachable offenses under “Poor Parenting.”
