Lucy M. Jenkins 1939-2024
AUSTINTOWN — Lucy M. Jenkins, 85, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2024, surrounded by her family at Hospice House.
Lucy was born April 29, 1939, in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Helen Sweetko Lysikowski. She attended South High School, worked at Fashion Bug and was a homemaker. She married Franklin D. Jenkins on Aug. 5, 1957, and he predeceased her April 18, 1991.
Lucy leaves her sons, Franklin D. (Elizabeth) Jenkins Jr. of Youngstown and Leonard R. (Lori) Jenkins of Salem; and her daughter, Pamela Jenkins of Austintown; eight grandchildren, Lenny Jenkins, Jennifer (Michael) Meutur, Ginny (Steve Cashbaugh) Jenkins, Franklin D. Jenkins III, Scott Jenkins, John (Miranda Davis) Jenkins, Lee (Marni Kridler) Jenkins and Greg (Tyler Shaffer) Jenkins; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren, with one on the way.
Lucy was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Franklin; one granddaughter, Heather Jenkins; and Lucy’s siblings, John Lysikowski, Ron Laskey, Joann Arbutina, Delores Edwards and Catherine Rerko.
Services will be held at noon Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024, at the Clemente Funeral Home, 700 Fifth St., Struthers, OH, 44471.
Friends may call 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at the funeral home.
