Paul A. D’Eramo 1966-2021

ALLIANCE — Paul Andrew D’Eramo, 54, left us on Friday, March 19, 2021, surrounded by his family and friends after a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer.

Paul arrived on earth on Dec. 26, 1966, into the loving arms of his parents, Paul J. and Patty Sabbato D’Eramo in Austintown.

He was quickly whisked away to Ann Arbor, Michigan where his LOVE / hate relationship for The Wolverines was instilled in him. Paul returned to Austintown with his parents to grow and be loved by his D’Eramo family. In 1978, the family moved to Alliance.

Paul was a 1985 graduate of Alliance High School, where he created lifelong friendships. He competed on the 1983 undefeated Federal League champions. Paul loved football and sports.

In 1990, he married Elizabeth (nee Davia). From there he became an amazing father with the birth of his namesake and most cherished son, Paul (Rachael) William. Soon after, he graduated from Kent State University and began his career in education and coaching, with most of his career at Fairless and Alliance.

During this time, he welcomed his shining star, Megan Elizabeth (Marcus).

Paul lived a good life filled with love, laughter and ketchup.

He is survived by his sisters and best friends, Diana Madison and Daria D’Eramo; aunt, Marilyn D’Eramo; uncle, Mark (Beth) Sabbato; nephews, Nathaniel (Channing) Hessberg, Jack Madison, William Rose and Thomas Madison; cousins, Nick (Kristin) Sabbato and Chrissy (Shaun)McClarnon; sister-in-law, Amy (Bill) Rose; and in-laws, Dan and Sandy Ballantyne Davia. His greatest treasures are his granddaughters, Myla Elizabeth and Mia Jean Williams. His heart burst with love for these girls. Myla saved him and Mia freed him.

Paul enjoyed being with family and friends. Growing up every Sunday he would be surrounded by family and friends enjoying pasta. Outside of coaching, Paul would enjoy many hours of “Sanford and Son,” “Mountain Monsters,” hoping one day to catch his own Sasquatch, Shark Week, golf and time spent in Hilton Head and Naples. He spent many hours rooting for and swearing at the Miami Dolphins with his closest friend, Larry Ramser.

Paul was preceded by uncles and aunts, James (Rose Marie “Debbie”) D’Eramo, John (Lori) Sabbato and Vincy D’Eramo; and grandparents, Paul and Mary D’Eramo and Anthony “Tut” and Patsy Sabbato.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alliance High School Foundation, or Aviator Sports Boosters.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Hill officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2021.
