Armida Yvonne Westfall 1945-2021

GIRARD — Armida “Bonnie” Yvonne Westfall, 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Hospice House in Poland with her family by her side.

Bonnie was born May 15, 1945, in El Paso, Texas, a daughter of the late Raymond and Ester Pineda Carrasco.

She was a graduate of Austin High School and attended UTEP University.

Bonnie was a member of St. Rose Church. She began teaching at St. Rose Sunny Days Preschool in 1997 and was a CCD teacher. She had a great love for all the kids she taught and all the kids loved her.

Bonnie loved to watch sports, especially the Cleveland Indians, and her favorite player was Carlos Carrasco. But most of all, Bonnie loved her grandchildren and watching them play in their many sports. She loved Elvis and was a collector of many memorabilia. Bonnie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Pamela (James) Siembieda, Lynda Westfall, Michael (Joane) Westfall, James Westfall and Randall Westfall; brother, Ron (Maria) Carrasco; grandchildren, Peyton, Shae, Richard, Jonathon, Rachel, Cadence and Kayley; and sisters-in-law, Letta Grey, Madeline Hefner and Louise (Fred) Willston.

Besides her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Westfall, who she married Sept. 1, 1966, and who died Jan. 12, 1991.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at St. Rose Church, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Bonnie will be laid to rest in Belmont Park Cemetery next to her husband.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Sunny Days Preschool in Bonnie’s memory.
