Rosemary A. Neal 1943-2020

Rosemary was born Jan. 24, 1943, in Warren, the daughter of John and Mary Chuirazzi Salapata.

Rosemary was a 1961 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. On Sept. 24, 1966, she married Richard L. Neal.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles and was employed at Macali’s Giant Eagle in Niles as a clerk in the meat department for 13 years before retiring in 2006.

Rosemary loved her grandchildren and enjoyed attending their sporting events and activities. She was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR fan.

She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Deborah (Thomas) Bettura of Howland; her son, Robert (Bethany) Neal of Elizabeth, Pa.; her brother, Harry (Kathy) Salapata of Niles; her two sisters, Marilyn (Dennis) Stevens of Girard and Carolyn Salapata of Niles; and her four grandchildren, Anthony and Alyssa Bettura, and Evan and Justin Neal.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Nick Salapata.

Friends may call Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles, where social distancing and facial coverings are mandatory.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles. Social-distancing measures will be upheld and facial coverings are mandatory.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
