Frankie Mae Greenwood 1934-2020

YOUNGSTOWN — Frankie Mae Greenwood, 86, of 517 Dewey Ave., Youngstown, departed this life at 5:10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020, at Continuing Healthcare of Boardman, following complications from COVID-19.

She was born July 10, 1934, in Stewart County, Ga., the daughter of Ethel McGee, residing in the area since 1953, coming from Richmond, Ga.

Ms. Greenwood was employed with Dr. Fisher and the Lev Construction Company for many years as a domestic engineer. She also worked for Grants Department Store.

She was a member of Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Nurse’s Guild and enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing.

She married Frank Greenwood in December of 1985; he died in 1991.

She leaves to mourn two daughters, Ms. Marilyn Radney Harmon of Ashtabula and Ms. Joann Radney of Youngstown; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Diane Greenwood (Stanley) Davis and Ms. Roslyn Greenwood White both of Atlanta, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Eddie Radney; one brother, Robert Kelly; and one stepson, Raymond Greenwood.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will have private services Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020.

Burial will take place in Tod Homestead Cemetery.

Arrangements of comfort were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Youngstown Funeral Home.
