Douglas H. Measmer 1957-2020
AUSTINTOWN — Douglas Howard Measmer, 63, who is now with his parents, passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 24, 2020, at Hospice of the Western Reserve Inpatient Unit.
He was born Feb. 18, 1957, in Youngstown, a son of Richard H. and Mary D. Davis Measmer.
Doug was a 1975 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. He then served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force.
Doug loved music and was a collector of both Mustang cars and models.
He is survived by his brothers, Bradley (Joyce) Measmer of Austintown and Stephen Measmer of Bellrica, Mass.; his sisters, Rebecca (Timothy) Bakos of Austintown and Laurel Measmer of Akron; many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be a memorial service 11 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2020, at Zion Lutheran Church in Cornersburg.
Memorial contributions in Doug’s name may be given to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44512.
