Elaine R. Wikete 1938-2020

She was born Jan. 23, 1938, in Youngstown, to the late Ralph and Betty Ducay Bretz.

Elaine will be deeply missed by her loving daughters, Deborah (Jeffrey) Nelsen, Catherine (Gary) Aprile and Jane (Mike) Popadiuk Parker; cherished grandchildren, Joshua, Daniel, John, Samuel, Caleb, Hannah, Leah, Deborah and David Nelsen, Kylie DeCorte, Jennifer DeCorte, Jillian (Brian) Morris, Sam and Lena Aprile, and Madison and Emma Parker; and treasured great-grandchildren, Taylor, Jacob and Payton Nelsen, Derek Dye, and Cadence, Cecilia and Caine Morris.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Wikete; and brothers, Norman, Michael and Kenney Bretz.

“Our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother deserves a beautiful tribute; however, we appreciate in this unknown time that attending services for our mother is not in the public’s best health interest. Please be with us in prayer and reflection as we hold private visitation and services.”

She will be laid to rest in Hope Memorial Gardens in Hinckley, Ohio. Services will be streamed for private viewing at www.waitefuneralhome.com, 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2020, under Elaine Wikete’s name.
