Helen DeGeorge 1921-2020

PENN HILLS, Pa. — Helen DeGeorge, 98, of Penn Hills, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020, at her home in Seneca Place.

Helen was born in April 23, 1921, in Farrell, Mercer County, Pa., a daughter of the late Jacob and Rose Mikulin.

Helen was an avid reader and enjoyed bowling and trips to the casino with her many friends. She was active in SilverSneakers at Penn Hills YMCA and was a volunteer at Penn Hills Library for many years.

Helen was also a devoted Pitt and Farrell High School basketball fan.

She is survived by her children, Jacob (Carol) Rodesh, David (Cynthia) DeGeorge and Denise (Bernard) Tebbets; grandchildren, Jessica (Matthew) Yowonske, Lana (Douglas) Weston, Jake (Josslyne Cibik) Tebbets, John Michael Rodesh and Joseph Rodesh; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Dominic DeGeorge; her son, John Michael Rodesh; and her granddaughter, Kathleen Rodesh.

Friends will be received, 2 p.m. Saturday until the Blessing Service at 4 p.m. at Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd./Roth Chapel, 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road), Penn Hills, Pa.
