Rev. Norman Schinkel, 1933-2019
HOWLAND — Rev. Norman Schinkel, 86, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019, at Heather Knoll Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Tallmadge.
He was born Aug. 26, 1933, in Jansen, Saskatchewan, Canada, the son of Henry and Wilhelmina Brehm Schinkel.
Since 1976, Rev. Schinkel served as pastor of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Warren.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey Mildred Ricketts Schinkel; three children, David N. Schinkel of North Huntingdon, Pa., Sara J. Lytle of Munroe Falls and Ruth A. Gebele of Sunbury; 10 grandchildren; and a brother.
Services are noon Monday, Oct. 21, 2019, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Warren. Friends may call 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the church. Interment will follow in Howland Township Cemetery.
